North Queensland have downed a quiet Canberra 30-12 on Saturday night at 1300SMILES Stadium.

Brent Tate opened the scoring early in the exchange but the visitors struck back minutes later when Edrick Lee took an intercept pass.
Jarrod Croker converted to hit the lead but Glenn Hall crashed over with easy and Johnathan Thurston kicked the goal to hit a four point lead.
Then Matt Bowen pounced on a Thurston grubber kick minutes later.
16-6 at the break, a break by Tariq Sims saw the back rower put away Michael Morgan for a try.
Jack Wighton crossed with 11 minutes remaining and Reece Robinson kicked the goal to make it a 10-point margin.
A penalty gaol taken by Thurston increased the difference to two converted tries and Ashley Graham crossed just short of the fulltime for his 100th career try and sealed the game.
