THE Hurricanes have all but ended Queensland Reds' finals hopes after they scored five tries in a 35-21 victory in Wellington.
It was the Reds' third successive loss and the Canes' fourth straight win, one which moves them to the top of the New Zealand conference.
Cory Jane was the star for the home side after he crossed for a hat-trick while TJ Perenara and Ardie Savea crossed for the other tries.
The Reds' five-pointers came from Ben Lucas and James Hanson while Quade Cooper kicked three penalties.
The Reds face the Blues in another tough encounter in Auckland next week.
