HAWTHORN coach Alastair Clarkson has questioned Tom Harley's objectivity as a commentator, pouring more petrol on the Hawks-Cats rivalry.
Clarkson was irritated in the wake of his side's Friday night loss to Sydney, which is likely to be salted by the sighting of Jarryd Roughead for rough conduct.
INJURY, BUMP ADD SALT TO HAWKS' WOUNDS
HAWKS 'ORDINARY', BUT PLENTY OF DEPTH
Roughead diverted his attention off the ball in the third quarter to collect Ben McGlynn with a shoulder to the head that left the diminutive Swan momentarily dazed.
Harley captained Geelong to two premierships in 2007 and 2009 before joining Channel 7. Not known for his decisive commentary, he was categoric on the Roughead hit.
"Chose to bump, head-high contact," Harley said during Friday night's broadcast.

"My personal view is the rule is clear as day; you choose to bump and you make head-high contact, you're gone.
"I actually can't understand the confusion about it ... the onus is on the player who makes the contact (and) he's in trouble."
Such was his concern over the incident, Clarkson reviewed the footage before the end of the game.
But when asked later if he had seen it, the Hawks coach took aim at Harley.
"Apparently Tom Harley saw it. Surprise, surprise, that a Geelong player would be trying to put a Hawthorn guy in," Clarkson said.
"We will wait and see. I think Tom wants to be general manager of footy operations there next year."

Harley's opinion was shared by Hawthorn greats Leigh Matthews and Jason Dunstall, who predicted Roughead would be spending some time on the sidelines.
"(You) don't need to think about it — shoulder bump to the head," Matthews said.
Roughead will almost certainly be charged tomorrow by the match review panel. The Coleman Medallist also has a costly 93.75 carry-over points stemming from a rough conduct charge on Geelong's Cam Guthrie in last year's preliminary final.
Roughead's hit on McGlynn, which briefly forced the Swan from the field, came barely 24 hours after Melbourne's Jack Viney overturned a much-criticised guilty verdict for his collision with Adelaide forward Tom Lynch.
"After the week we've just had (with the Jack Viney case), why would you go for the bump," Dunstall said on Triple M.
