MARQUEE star Emile Heskey broke a 13 month goal drought and striker Adam Taggart bagged a double as Newcastle Jets kept their A-League play-off hopes alive with a 5-0 thumping of Wellington at Hunter Stadium.
The Jets secured their biggest ever win in the A-League and leap-frogged Sydney FC into sixth spot on goal difference following the rout.

Heskey had gone 18 games since February 15, 2013 without finding the back of the net until he struck from a corner after 35 minutes to set the ball rolling.
The Jets took the one goal advantage into the halftime break but exploded in the second half, posting a further four goals with Taggart, the competition's leading scorer, getting in on the action.
Taggart took his season's tally to 13 with goals in the 57th and 77th minutes as the Jets cut the Phoenix apart.
Joel Griffiths also scored, volleying past Wellington keeper Glenn Moss from a corner just 42 seconds into the second half to give the home side a 2-0 lead before veteran Michael Bridges completed the rout on the stroke of full-time.
Heskey's goal proved the catalyst for the win.
The big Englishman was at the far post when he latched onto a corner ficked on by defender Josh Mitchell and calmly side-footed past Moss from close range.
